COLIN BIGGERS & PAISLEY HOSTS YEAR 10 STUDENTS FROM REGIONAL NSW FOR MENTORING PROGRAM

July 01,2019
In recognition of, and to celebrate national Volunteer Week, the Colin Biggers & Paisley Foundation hosted sixteen year 10 students from regional NSW schools for a workplace visit.

The visit was part of the ASPIRE Connect program, a three day academic enrichment event for Year 10 students. It brings together 250 students from metro and regional partner schools to visit a variety of businesses and organisations and participate in on-campus career workshops. The program aims to help students realise the connections between studying at school, gaining a university degree and having a wide range of career choices throughout their working life.

Volunteers from the Sydney Property team, together with one of their clients, PAYCE, spent the morning with the students discussing their education, career journey's and what it is like to work in the city. They finished off their visit with an office tour and lunch.

Our participation in these programs forms part of the Colin Biggers & Paisley volunteering activities. Every year all staff are entitled to two days' paid leave to volunteer.
