BRISBANE OFFICE CLIMBS 1040 STEPS TO RAISE MUCH NEEDED FUNDS FOR WOMEN’S LEGAL SERVICE QUEENSLAND

On Friday 20 July a team from our Brisbane office participated in the River to Rooftop challenge. The team – comprised of Annie Lo, Jacquiline Thomas, Julia Paino, Anne-Marie Sears, Dee Ardham, Claire Pekol-Smith, Alexandra Watson and Marlo Perry – climbed the 1040 stairs of One One One Eagle Street to raise money for community partner Women’s Legal Service Queensland.

Individuals were set a fundraising target of $150 which was far exceeded by the team who raised over $3000!

All money raised goes directly to  Women’s Legal Service Queensland, who provide free legal and welfare help to Queensland women and their kids at risk from domestic violence.

Every year, Women’s Legal Service provide vital help to 11,000 women when they need it most.

But for every woman who receives help, another call cannot be answered due to capacity constraints. There is no way to know when these women will have the courage or the opportunity to call again.
