As part of our commitment to providing opportunities for disadvantaged children and young adults, last 25 July the Colin Biggers & Paisley Foundation hosted 20 students from Auburn Girls High School for a workplace visit.
The visit was part of the ASPIRE Degrees at Work program, where Year 10 students from low socioeconomic communities experience what a working environment looks like and have the opportunity to interact with people across the practice. The Degrees at Work program aims to inspire students to set goals for their future, pursue a university degree, and make informed decisions when choosing a career.
Volunteers from our Sydney office spent the morning with the students sharing their experience, career journey, and what it is like to work in the city. The students finished off their visit with an office tour and lunch.
Our participation in these programs forms part of the Colin Biggers & Paisley volunteering activities. Every year all staff are entitled to two days' paid leave to volunteer.
