Graduates from our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane offices held a
Fundraising Challenge to raise at least $5,500 between our three offices for the Arts Law Centre's
Artists in the Black program. Money raised would assist the Arts Law Centre to protect the legal and cultural rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and in particular artists in rural and remote areas of Australia.
We are so pleased that our Graduates far exceeded their target, raising a total of
$11,500. The graduates demonstrated fantastic teamwork and managed to have over 80 items generously donated towards their raffles and auctions. Although the result was a group success, the Challenge was a competition between the offices and the winner of the 2019 Graduate Fundraising Challenge was, the Brisbane Graduates
. Congratulations!
The Colin Biggers & Paisley Foundation has a strong relationship with the Arts Law Centre and are committed to protecting the legal and cultural rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Over the years we have contributed to the Artists in the Black’s legal service through pro bono referrals, clinics and secondments to regional art centres.
